There was a need to come up with my way of rating, but close enough to overall standard 5 star industry rating of food establishments. Wondering how I rate food and establishments, well it’s shared with you below.

- What is the name of the establishment?
- Where is the location (street, city, state, zip code), operating hours, and contact information (email, phone number, website link)?
- What is the price range of the establishment?
- Are reservations needed? How long is the typical wait time without reservations?
- Who’s the target audience?
- Who is the establishment suitable for…. couples? families? children-friendly? small/large groups?
- Do they serve alcohol? Is smoking allowed/designated section?
- Is there live music or entertainment?
- What are the restaurant’s goal?
Cuisine/Beverage
- What is the name of cuisine/beverage?
- What type of course (appetizer, main, side dish, dessert) is cuisine/beverage associated with?
- Color of the plate? How is food plated?
- What was most liked or least liked about the cuisine/beverage?
- What is the price of cuisine/beverage? What is the price comparison to another brand?
Staff
- Temperament of place, is staff smiling/enjoying themselves?
- How is the attire of the staff? Are they groomed neatly?
- Is the staff seemingly distracted?
- How did the host/hostess address/treat you upon entering the establishment?
Evaluation Criteria
- How was the quality of the food and the service?
- What was the ambiance of the establishment?
- Describe the interior/exterior design.
- How is the cleanliness of the establishment?
- Are you getting the full value for your money?
- What are the pros and cons of establishments such as overlooked details to mention as a word of caution?
Conclude with Recommendation
- Thumbs up or down?
- What would be the rating stars given?
1 star = Poor. Nothing good about the restaurant. Won’t be returning.{1-39%}
2 stars = Okay. Establishment has 1 or 2 good qualities, example cuisine/beverage, helpful staff, or an inviting atmosphere. No interest in visiting again. {40-64%}
3 stars = Good. Specific kind of restaurant/establishment with delicious food and good service. Highly likely to return if you wish to enjoy a particular cuisine/beverage.{65-79%}
4 stars = Excellent. Delicious cuisine/beverage, appealing atmosphere, helpful staff, and great service.{80-94%}
5 stars = Extraordinary. Elite standards used to judge all other restaurants. The staff is attentive, the establishment (interior/exterior) is extremely clean, lovely atmosphere, and extremely great cuisine/beverage that is beautifully presented. {95-100%}
