This organization is one of the world largest inclusion of food and nutrition professionals. Its led by the Board of Directors, while including national leaders all while being governed by a House of Delegates. Approximately 72% of the Academy’s members are registered dietitian nutritionists (RDNs) and 2% are nutrition and dietetics technicians, registered (NDTRs). Other members include allied health professionals, educators, researchers, and students. All Academy members hold advanced academic degrees.
Areas and interests including public health, food service management, grocery stores/chains, hospitals, long-term care facilities, nutrition counseling, private practice, education of health care professionals and scientific research.
